Certified Ananda Meditation Teachers, Ananda Yoga ® (RH 200) and Spiritual Counsellors certified by standards set forth by the International Yoga Alliance via the globally well-established Ananda School of Yoga and Meditation. Nara and Kalamali both practice Kriya Yoga, the scientific method of meditation mentioned in Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda. As householders, both Nara and Kalamali are Pilgrims in the renunicate order established by Swami Kriyananda in late 2009, the Nayaswami Order.

Together Nara and Kalamali assist the distribution and marketing for Co-Spiritual Directors of Ananda Sangha Worldwide, Nayaswami Jyotish and Nayaswami Devi, with their weekly Touch of Light blog, podcast, and Jyotish’s meditation-born art

Sharing Wellness

Nara and Kalamali also co-founded the Wellness in Warriors in Healthcare Program to support healthcare workers across the US with simple holistic yoga techniques during the pandemic. The next edition of this program establishes a version for anyone searching for evidence-based wellness tips applicable to their work and home needs, trademarked in US and now Australia, Wellness Recharge Cards™.

Nara

has been practising Kriya for over 5 years. He was a founding member of the Australian Ananda Meditation group and has led guided meditation for over 3 years. He has taught at several health and wellness conferences, sharing these teachings to a broader audience amongst other public speakers from Ananda.

Nara received his spiritual name from Nayaswami Jyotish and Nayaswami Devi. It means ‘ever-expansive’ and is another name for disciple-everyman, Arjuna.

Kalamali

is part of the Ananda Sevaka Order for spiritual community members, having lived in many Ananda communities and helped with communications of Ananda at various centres throughout the world. She was a part of the sangha ministry for 7 years as part of the marketing team, and assisted in delivering courses at Online with Ananda and The Expanding Light Retreat.

A kriyaban for 11 years, Kalamali hopes to share the benefits of meditation with this side of the world and building new spiritual family and divine friendship. 

Kalamali received her spiritual name from Swami Kriyananda at Ananda Village in 2012 before his passing in 2013. It means “to give light.”
